Mission Statement

Council will endeavour to protect the natural environment, and to provide for the sustainable use of those areas by the public, to improve quality of life and preservation of native species through the control of noxious weeds.

Situation

The spread of noxious weeds is posing a threat to  agriculture, recreation and tourism, public safety and the environment.

Goal

To prevent the spread and reduce the incidence of noxious  weeds, and to minimise the impact of those weeds on the environment.

Objective

To increase the awareness of the impact of noxious weeds on the environment and application of the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act,  1993.
